About The Position

This individual cleans and keeps the hospital environment in an orderly condition. The position is located at ER at Sweetwater, which is part of Aiken Regional Medical Centers, a 273-bed acute care facility in Aiken, South Carolina, serving the community since 1917. Aiken Regional Medical Centers has received recognition for its treatment of heart conditions and stroke and offers comprehensive healthcare services including behavioral health, emergency medical care, orthopedic surgeries, maternity, rehabilitation services, imaging, and wound care.

Requirements

High School diploma or GED preferred.
Previous housekeeping experience a plus, preferably in a healthcare environment.
Must be able to use housekeeping equipment such as vacuum cleaner, buffers, battery operated equipment, mops and carpet equipment; Reading and Numerical competency;
Customer service skills

Responsibilities

Cleans offices, patient rooms, offices, classrooms, common areas, lavatories, halls, food service areas and any other areas that may require attention.
Sweeps, mops, scrubs, polishes floors and vacuums hallways, stairs and office space.
Will be required to properly and safely use cleaning chemicals per given standards.
Other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
