About The Position

This is a Part Time Housekeeper position within the Environmental Services Department. The role involves performing cleaning procedures, observing waste disposal, assisting with equipment care, and reporting any issues or areas in need of repair. The Housekeeper will also be responsible for dispensing supplies, attending training, and adhering to infection control and safety procedures. Additionally, the role requires maintaining a neat appearance, willingness to assist in other departments when needed, and upholding resident rights and facility policies. Punctuality, dependability, and a cooperative attitude are essential, as is understanding and exemplifying the facility's mission and values.

  • Ability to dispense housekeeping supplies.
  • Willingness to attend in-service training programs.
  • Ability to observe infection control procedures.
  • Must come to work in a clean, neat uniform.
  • Willingness to work in other Hospitality areas when called upon.
  • Ability to follow Resident's Rights policies.
  • Ability to follow facility safety program.
  • Must be dependable and punctual.
  • Must accept assigned duties in a cooperative manner.
  • Must assume accountability for data contained in the Staff Handbook.

Responsibilities

  • Perform cleaning procedures in accordance with facility policy.
  • Observe waste disposal procedures in accordance with facility policy.
  • Follow directions.
  • Assist in the proper care and use of housekeeping equipment.
  • Identify and report any equipment malfunction to supervisor.
  • Report any observed area in poor repair to supervisor.
  • Dispense soap, paper and other housekeeping supplies.
  • Attend in-service training programs for housekeeping employees.
  • Observe infection control procedures related to the Housekeeping Department.
  • Come to work in a clean, neat uniform.
  • Work in other Hospitality areas, such as Dining Services and Laundry, when called upon to do so.
  • Follow Resident's Rights policies at all times.
  • Follow facility safety program.
  • Come to work as scheduled and consistently demonstrate dependability and punctuality.
  • Accept assigned duties in a cooperative manner.
  • Assume accountability for data contained in the Staff Handbook.
  • Know, understand and exemplify the Mission Values of Jennings: Respect, Community, Discovery of Potential and Celebration of Life.
