About The Position
The Housekeeper is responsible for the cleanliness and servicing of all assigned areas at Decatur Medical Lodge. The role includes reporting broken facility and resident-use equipment to a supervisor, knowing and participating in the facility emergency preparedness plan, and performing other duties as assigned. The schedule is as assigned and includes some weekends, holidays, and evenings.
Requirements
- Ability to follow oral and written instructions in English.
- Ability to learn and carry out housekeeping and safety/emergency procedures.
- Ability to perform routine tasks repetitively as well as new or specific tasks as assigned.
- Ability to follow specific instructions and direction independently and from supervisors.
Responsibilities
- Maintain cleanliness and service all assigned areas.
- Report broken facility and resident-use equipment to a supervisor.
- Know and participate in the facility emergency preparedness plan.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
