About The Position

Penick Village is seeking a dependable and detail-oriented Housekeeper to join our Housekeeping Department. This position is responsible for helping maintain a clean, safe, and comfortable environment for our residents, guests, and staff. This is a Full-time position, hours will be 8:00am-4:00pm. The purpose of this job position is to assist in directing the overall operation of the Housekeeping Department in accordance with the philosophy and policies of Penick Village with emphasis on the safety, health, and care of the Residents. To provide weekly housekeeping service to the residential areas of Penick Village.

  • Must possess the ability to deal tactfully with residents, staff and visitors.
  • Some initiative involved in cleaning to be done.

Responsibilities

  • Make beds and change linens.
  • Vacuum upholstered furniture and carpet.
  • Dust furniture, pictures and windowsills.
  • Spot clean walls and woodwork.
  • Empty and clean trashcans. Replace liner in trash can.
  • Check for repairs and report to department leader or supervisor.
  • Clean telephones.
  • Clean sink, tub, shower, and toilet.
  • Polish chrome.
  • Dust mop and wet mop floors.
  • Clean mirrors, faucets, and drains.
  • Clean overhead vent.
  • Replenish paper supplies and soap.
  • Clean tile floor, walls, and any partitions.
  • Clean water fountains.
  • Move furniture with assistance, if needed, and using proper body mechanics.
  • Take trash to dumpster. Ask for assistance if needed.
  • Check ovens, stoves, and refrigerators for cleaning.
  • Vacuum or sweep patios, porches, front and back sidewalks of room or unit.
  • Follow your assigned cleaning schedule at all times, changes are only made by your direct supervisor.
  • Keep closets and Housekeeping carts clean at all times.
  • CONNECTEAM HOUSEKEEPING CHECKLISTS - must be completed and submitted within 15 minutes of completing job and before starting next job. This ensures the timely delivery of services leading to improved customer satisfaction. By tracking employee movements and activity, Penick can identify and address bottlenecks or inefficiencies in its operations, leading to increased efficiency.
