About The Position

McMenamins Kennedy School is hiring for a Housekeeper. McMenamins is a family-owned company in Oregon and Washington serving handcrafted beer, wine, cider, spirits, and coffee alongside pub fare. Locations range from neighborhood pubs to historic hotels, emphasizing community, art, history, music, food, drink, and fun. This role plays a large part in ensuring guests have a comfortable and enjoyable stay. The primary responsibility is to clean and maintain hotel rooms in a timely manner, ensuring they are clean and pleasant. This position requires mental agility and the ability to effectively multi-task in a fast-paced and deadline-oriented environment. A housekeeper must also have the ability to work well independently and as a member of a team.

Requirements

18+ years old
Flexible schedule including days, evenings, weekends, and holidays preferred
Enjoy working in a busy customer service-oriented environment

Responsibilities

Daily preparation of rooms
Changing linens on the bed
Upkeep of linen closets
Cleaning of toilets, sinks, showers
Cleaning floors
Assisting the maintenance (janitorial) staff when needed
Providing support to the front desk as needed
Assisting guests in any manner possible (e.g., getting ironing boards, cribs)
Answering guest questions
Being responsible and accountable for finished rooms and cleaning projects
Maintaining knowledge of company policies and procedures as they relate to housekeeping
Providing excellent customer service to hotel guests and customers
