About The Position

Responsible to provide a clean environment for residents. This role involves cleaning, disinfecting, and straightening resident rooms, work areas, and common spaces according to a cleaning schedule. It also includes tasks such as cleaning carpets, furniture, draperies, floors, windows, and spills, as well as moving and straightening furniture. The housekeeper will maintain the cleanliness of unoccupied rooms to make them attractive for resident occupancy, empty wastebaskets, and properly dispose of trash. Additionally, the role involves collecting, washing, drying, folding, and distributing laundry as directed, and ensuring equipment is stored properly. The housekeeper is expected to promote positive relationships with residents, staff, and visitors and perform any other duties as requested within the scope of responsibility and requirements of the job. Requirements

High school diploma/GED required.
Demonstrable knowledge and experience using Microsoft Office in a Windows environment, with a capacity to master company specific software.
Ability to multi-task, prioritize and work with minimal supervision.
Effective oral and written communication skills.

Superior communication and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

Clean, disinfect and straighten resident rooms, work areas and common spaces according to cleaning schedule.
Clean carpets, furniture and draperies with vacuum cleaner or shampooer.
Sweep, scrub and policy hard floors using broom, mop or power scrubber.
Scrub and disinfect sinks, tubs, toilets and bathing rooms.
Dust and polish furniture and metalwork.
Wash windows, sills and doors.
Clean and disinfect spills and soiled areas as needed or directed.
Deep clean according to schedule.
Move and straighten furniture.
Maintain cleanliness of unoccupied rooms to make them attractive for resident occupancy.
Empty wastebaskets and properly dispose of trash.
Collect, wash, dry, fold and distribute laundry as directed.
Ensure equipment is stored properly.
Promote positive relationships with residents, staff and visitors.
Perform any other duties as requested within the scope of responsibility and requirements of the job.
