About The Position

St. Elizabeth Healthcare is hiring a Housekeeper for our Edgewood Environmental Services Team. This full-time position works 40 hours per week on the first shift. The position is responsible for cleaning and maintaining patient and non-patient areas within the hospital. Associates are expected to demonstrate respect, dignity, kindness, and empathy in every interaction.

Requirements

Ability to read and write
Ability to do heavy lifting up to 50 lbs.
No previous experience required

Responsibilities

Performs daily cleaning procedures in patient and non-patient areas to provide a clean and safe environment.
Completes detailed cleaning duties (e.g., high dusting, cleaning blinds) weekly or upon patient discharge/transfer to meet quality assurance and patient satisfaction standards.
Cleans, sanitizes, and deodorizes restrooms to meet quality expectations.
Removes trash from cleaned areas to a central location for building removal.
Attends in-service programs, meetings, and completes Net Learning modules as required.
Follows applicable safety steps to ensure personal and patient safety, complying with hospital, state, and federal safety standards (e.g., proper procedures, reporting concerns, correct lifting techniques).
Demonstrates knowledge and skills to provide services based on applicable principles of growth and development over the life span.
Performs other duties as assigned.
