About The Position

The Phoenix At Union Hill is seeking a Housekeeper to join their team! This role involves performing a variety of housekeeping activities to maintain the cleanliness and upkeep of the community, including resident rooms and common areas. The Housekeeper will be responsible for tasks such as dusting, vacuuming, mopping, laundry, carpet shampooing, bathroom cleaning, trash removal, window cleaning, and restocking supplies. A flexible schedule is offered, with one weekend per month required.

Requirements

High School Diploma/ GED preferred
One (1) year job related experience
Understanding of infection control procedures
Ability to multitask and manage stress
Ability to work weekends, evenings and flexible hours
Possess written and verbal skills for effective communication

Responsibilities

Perform all housekeeping activities including dusting, vacuuming, sweeping, mopping, laundry, shampooing carpets, scrubbing bathrooms, cleaning counters, and taking out the trash.
Restock common area bistro’s and bathrooms, resident rooms and bathrooms with appropriate paper products and hand soap.
Follow detailed cleaning worksheet/checklist for each room and common area.
Set up and mix water and detergents in proper containers to prepare cleaning solutions.
Follow procedures for the use of chemical cleaners and power equipment.
Clean community common area and resident room(s) floors and walls by sweeping, mopping, scrubbing, and/or vacuuming.
Steam clean or shampoo carpet.
Dust furniture, walls, machines, and equipment, including moving furniture.
Clean windows, glass partitions, and mirrors.
Make adjustments to heating, cooling, and ventilation systems, including changing filters.
Gather and empty trash and remove debris from outdoor areas.
Ensure all bathrooms are stocked with toilet paper, paper towels, Kleenex, and liquid soap.
Replace light bulbs throughout the community.
Clean suites with two residents twice a week.
Notify supervisor of the need for major repairs or additions to building systems.
