The Housekeeping Assistant position performs scheduled housekeeping tasks as assigned by the Housekeeping Supervisor. This role involves cleaning and sanitizing patient rooms, bathrooms, and common areas daily, using proper chemicals and equipment. Responsibilities include mopping, sweeping, dusting, washing windows, shampooing and vacuuming carpets, arranging furniture, and generally cleaning furniture, equipment, fixtures, and hardware. The position also involves emptying trash, reporting repair needs, requesting supplies, identifying and correcting safety hazards, and complying with facility policies and procedures.
