About The Position
The Housekeeper is responsible for maintaining a clean and safe environment within the manufacturing floor and customer showroom. This role involves a variety of cleaning tasks, waste management, and ensuring compliance with safety regulations. The ideal candidate will have a strong work ethic, attention to detail, and the ability to perform physical labor throughout the shift.
Requirements
- Minimum 1 year of commercial or industrial cleaning experience.
- Ability to stand, bend, lift up to 30 pounds, and perform physical labor for full shifts.
- Familiarity with Material Safety Data Sheets (MSDS) and safe chemical handling.
- Dependable work ethic with availability for designated shift times (day or night options).
Responsibilities
- Dust displays, vacuum carpets, polish glass surfaces, and ensure product presentation areas look pristine for visitors.
- Sweep, mop, and scrub manufacturing floor walkways; clean breakrooms, restrooms, and locker rooms.
- Empty trash bins, manage recycling materials, and dispose of industrial waste safely.
- Follow OSHA guidelines, wear required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), and report facility hazards immediately.
- Monitor cleaning chemical and paper product inventory, notifying management when reorders are needed.
