Housekeeper (8am-4:30pm)
About The Position
The Housekeeper is responsible for performing routine cleaning tasks in patient rooms, offices, and public areas. This role involves maintaining the cleanliness and orderliness of supply closets, ensuring cleaning supplies and equipment are stored safely and out of patient access when in use. The Housekeeper will also assist the Housekeeping Supervisor and other departmental staff as needed, reporting any situations that may affect the health and well-being of patients or employees. A key aspect of this role is assisting in maintaining a safe and risk-preventive environment, and complying with established measures for infection control, OSHA regulations, and Safety/Risk Management plans, policies, and procedures.
Requirements
- Must be able to work with minimal supervision.
- May be required to work overtime and/or flexible hours.
Nice To Haves
- One (1) year experience in housekeeping field.
- Previous experience in hospital setting preferred.
Responsibilities
- Perform routine cleaning tasks of patient rooms, offices and public areas.
- Assures that supply closets are kept clean and orderly.
- Keep cleaning supplies and equipment safely stored when not in use and away from patient’s access when in use.
- Assist the Housekeeping Supervisor in other duties assigned.
- Assist other departmental staff, as requested.
- Report any situations that may affect the health and wellbeing of patients or employees.
- Assist in assuring a safe and risk preventive environment.
- Comply with established measures for infection control, OSHA regulations and Safety/Risk Management plans, policies and procedures.
