About The Position

Determined to end Veteran suicide, K9s For Warriors is the leading nonprofit organization providing Service Dogs to military Veterans nationwide suffering from PTSD, traumatic brain injury, and/or military sexual trauma — at no financial cost to the Veteran. Founded in 2011 as a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization, K9s For Warriors is committed to saving lives at both ends of the leash by primarily rescuing dogs and pairing them with Veterans in need. In order to continue the great work we’re doing, we’re looking to add a Housekeeper to our amazing team!

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Basic computer literacy skills
• Ability to work on feet for most of the day
• Proven experience as a Cleaner or Housekeeper
• Ability to work with little supervision and maintain a high level of performance
• Customer-oriented and friendly
• Prioritization and time management skills
• Working quickly without compromising quality
• Ability to exert a moderate to extensive amount of physical effort
• Ability to work on feet for entirety of shift
• Bending, crouching, twisting, reaching, pushing, pulling, climbing (stairs/ladders)
• Must be able to lift at least 50 lbs.
• Must be able to work outdoors in hot and cold weather
• Exposure to cleaning product odors

Responsibilities

• Cleaning the Warrior Houses, Clubhouse, Programs offices, staff break areas, modular buildings, and all administrative offices and bathrooms, including trash removal, dusting, vacuuming, sweeping, mopping, cleaning and sanitizing hard and glass surfaces, changing bed linens, washing and storing dishes, laundering items as needed, and other custodial tasks.
• Understanding proper utilization of PPE for applicable cleaning supplies and restricted spaces, such as the Quarantine Building.
• Safely utilizing cleaning supplies to include proper mixing or dilution, ventilation, etc.
• Daily checking the inventory of custodial and/or sanitary supplies in Clubhouse, Warrior Suites, Programs offices, staff break areas, administrative office areas and restocking as necessary.
• Maintaining inventory of custodial and/or sanitary supplies in Clubhouse, Warrior Housing, Programs offices, administrative office areas and restocking as necessary.
• Ensuring campus grounds are free of litter.
• Maintaining overall facility cleanliness to include the reset process of the Warrior Housing, if applicable to campus.
• Supporting any setup or cleanup of campus events during regular business hours.
• Performing any other duties as assigned by the Director of Operations and/or Operations Manager.
