Housekeeper - Summer Only
About The Position
Victory Junction is a year-round camp facility that provides fully accessible on-site and off-site programming for children with complex medical conditions at no cost to their families. Victory Junction's adaptive, intentional programming includes summer camp, family weekends, day programs, equine therapy, pediatric patient outreach, and partner programs. By removing all barriers, Victory Junction welcomes children with serious illnesses and chronic medical conditions to experience camp fun, all in a medically safe environment. Victory Junction is a member of SeriousFun Children's Network and is accredited by the American Camp Association. The Housekeeper provides upkeep and cleaning of buildings so that health standards are met.
Requirements
- Must be 18 years of age
- Housekeeping experience
- Ability to work with different personnel
- Good customer service skills
- Prospective employees meet medical requirements as a condition of employment

- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
Responsibilities
- Ensures Victory Junction rooms, hallways, lobbies, lounges, restrooms, corridors, elevators, stairways, locker rooms and other work areas are cleaned so that health standards are met
- Clean rugs, carpets, upholstered furniture, and/or draperies, using vacuum cleaners and/or shampooers
- Empty wastebaskets and transport other trash and waste to disposal areas
- Carry linens, towels, toilet items, and cleaning supplies, using wheeled carts
- Performs all laundry duties after family weekends and summer camp weeks
- Sweep, scrub, wax, and/or polish floors, using brooms, mops, and/or powered scrubbing and waxing machines
- Dust and polish furniture and equipment
- Keep camper cabins, housing areas, storage areas and carts well-stocked, clean, and tidy
- Polish silver accessories and metalwork such as fixtures and fittings
- Wash windows, walls, ceilings, and woodwork, waxing and polishing as necessary
- Request repair services as needed
- Disinfect equipment and supplies, using germicides or steam-operated sterilizers
- Observe precautions required to protect Victory Junction, and report damage, theft, and found articles to supervisors
- Prepare rooms for meetings
- Be an active team player and contribute/promote a positive, professional culture for all
- Foster a culture of Diversity, Equity and Inclusion
- Any other duties assigned
