About The Position

The Housekeeper is responsible for maintaining a clean, sanitary, safe, and orderly environment for patients, visitors, and healthcare providers of all ages. Duties include: Cleaning patient rooms and non‑patient care areas Mopping floors and operating necessary cleaning equipment Performing residential cleaning in the nursing home and The Commons (independent and assisted living) Changing bed linens and curtains Cleaning and sanitizing all surfaces, including furniture, floors, cabinets, equipment, and bathroom fixtures This is a day‑shift position with rotating weekends.

Requirements

Weekday hours: 7:00 a.m. – 3:30 p.m.
Weekend hours: 6:00 a.m. – 2:30 p.m.
Starting wage: $15
High school diploma or equivalent preferred
Ability to read and follow verbal instructions
Stand, walk, sit, reach, climb stairs, balance, bend, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl
Use hands to handle objects, tools, and equipment
Lift and/or move up to 50 pounds
Maintain close, distance, color, and depth vision, with the ability to adjust focus
Walk or stand throughout the shift and grasp/reach for objects
All HMC employees must pass both Federal and State background checks, as well as a drug and alcohol screening. Testing includes both illegal and legal substances, including marijuana.
