About The Position

As a Housekeeper for Shelburne Farms, you will play a crucial role in creating a welcoming and comfortable environment for all. This role is essential in maintaining the cleanliness and overall appearance of the inn and cottages across the farm while providing exceptional service to our guests and visitors. Shelburne Farms is an education nonprofit on a mission to inspire and cultivate learning for a sustainable future.

Requirements

Available to work weekends and holidays as we’re open 7 days a week until the end of October.
Strong attention to detail and high standards of cleanliness.
Welcome to all and comfortable working with individuals and groups of all backgrounds.

Responsibilities

Cleaning and care of all 2nd and 3rd floor bedrooms, bathrooms and public spaces.
Cleaning and care of all guest cottages and houses.
Change bed linens, towels, and replenish guest amenities with sustainable options.
Assisting with the daily laundry and care of linens as needed.
Clean and maintain common areas within the historical Inn, ensuring preservation of its unique features.
Learning and following proper care of museum quality furnishings, special woodwork and floors, etc.
Perform routine cleaning tasks such as dusting, vacuuming, and mopping using environmentally friendly methods.
Greet and assist guests, providing instructions and information about their room, the inn and farm while offering them additional resources with our guest service team.
Engage with guests if they’re curious to learn more about our programs, tours, activities, and the general farm if you have first hand experiences to share.
