About The Position

Join Messiah Lifeways as a Housekeeper and play an important role in creating a safe, comfortable, and inviting environment for the residents we serve. This is more than a housekeeping position—it's an opportunity to make a positive impact on the lives of older adults by helping maintain the spaces where they live, gather, and thrive. Enjoy a daytime schedule – Work 5:00 AM to 2:00 PM or 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM and have your afternoons and evenings free. Only work every 4th weekend. Help create clean, comfortable spaces that residents are proud to call home. A hands-on role that keeps you moving and engaged. Work alongside team members who genuinely care about one another and the residents they serve.

Requirements

At least 18 years of age
High School Diploma or GED
Attention to Detail: You take pride in a job well done and notice the small details that make a big difference.

Responsibilities

Clean and maintain resident rooms, offices, lounges, and common areas
Vacuum carpets and upholstered furniture
Dust, polish, and sanitize surfaces
Empty trash and recycling containers
Clean windows, doors, walls, and other high-touch areas
Follow proper cleaning and disinfecting procedures to maintain a safe and healthy environment
Report maintenance concerns and equipment issues promptly
Practice safe work habits, including proper use of chemicals and safety equipment
Maintain confidentiality regarding resident and organizational information
Complete assigned tasks with quality, efficiency, and attention to detail
