About The Position

LCB Senior Living is hiring full-time Housekeepers at The Residence at Summer Street. This role is responsible for thoroughly cleaning residents' rooms and common areas, including vacuuming, sweeping, dusting, polishing, mopping, and disinfecting. The position requires a professional and ethical approach, reflecting LCB's values, and involves discarding waste, maintaining housekeeping carts, and assisting with general housekeeping duties. Associates are expected to play an active role in community occupancy growth by positively representing the residence to potential residents and their families. The role also includes washing and folding linens, and potentially filling other positions as needed.

Requirements

Must have appropriate training and/or background in a similar setting.
Must be able to properly clean residents' rooms and residence common areas.
Must be able to discard waste into proper containers.
Ability to maintain a clean and neat environment.
Knowledge of cleaning practices and substances.
Ability to identify cleaning needs and safety hazards.
Ability to communicate in English both orally and in writing.
Requires frequent lifting, bending, stretching, kneeling and standing for extended periods of time.
Must be able to lift a minimum of twenty-five (25) lbs., and be able to carry objects.
Must be able to push and pull carts, and continuously walk, sit and stand.
Must be able to turn, crouch, kneel, stoop, bend below waist, and reach above shoulder height as tasks dictate.
Must use good body mechanics.
Must be able to use cleaning equipment, such as mops, brooms, vacuum cleaners, buffers, and chemicals in a safe manner.
Must be able to perform routine, repetitive tasks with consideration for residents, visitors, and any worker in the area.
Must project a positive attitude towards the service provided.
Associate may be subject to potential exposure to blood or other potentially infectious materials, and to handling hazardous chemicals (either Category 1 or 2).

Nice To Haves

Previous housekeeping experience in health care or hospitality setting is preferred.
A high school diploma or GED is preferred.

Responsibilities

Promote the mission and core values of the Residence and LCB Senior Living.
Represent and interact positively with potential residents, family members and professionals to grow community occupancy.
Thoroughly clean bathrooms, including toilet, vanity, sink, shower, shower seat, and floor with cleaning solution.
Completely clean kitchen areas, including wiping counters and under objects, and mopping floors.
Empty wastebaskets and replace bags.
Dust and polish all surfaces.
Wipe off all surfaces, including windowsills, woodwork, and counters.
Clean carpets, including vacuuming, shampooing, deodorizing, and disinfecting.
Clean all common areas and common bathrooms daily, and as often as needed.
Maintain housekeeping carts in a clean, orderly manner.
Remove, fold, and return bed linens.
Wash and fold linens.
Fill other positions as needed when someone is out.
Clean and wash windows.
Clean and dust blinds.
Perform general pick-up outside as needed.
Attend required in-service training and orientations.
Perform any other assigned duties.
Perform other duties as requested.
