About The Position
The Housekeeper helps create a welcoming hotel experience by cleaning and maintaining guest rooms, equipment, hallways, lobbies, restrooms, and other public spaces. The role includes making beds, replacing linens, replenishing supplies, maintaining a stocked housekeeping cart, and performing deep-cleaning and upkeep tasks such as changing air-conditioning filters and touch-up painting. Housekeepers also respond to guest requests, deliver items, provide friendly customer service, and follow safe work practices to help protect guests, coworkers, and hotel property. The hotel describes its workplace as supportive and collaborative, with team-building activities and events held monthly.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Ability to communicate effectively with guests and team members.
Responsibilities
- Clean and maintain guest rooms and equipment.
- Clean lobbies, hallways, restrooms, and other public areas, including carpets and furniture.
- Keep the housekeeping cart stocked and ready for use.
- Make beds, replace linens, and restock room supplies.
- Perform deep-cleaning and upkeep tasks, including changing air-conditioning filters and painting.
- Respond to guest requests and deliver requested items.
- Provide friendly customer service to guests.
- Monitor sensitive areas and follow safe work practices to help protect guests, coworkers, and property.
