About The Position
A warm, welcoming family is seeking an experienced, professional Housekeeper to join their household team. This is a full-time, long-term position supporting a well-maintained home in New York, with regular travel to the Hamptons and occasional travel to Colorado. The ideal candidate is calm, detail-oriented, and takes pride in maintaining a clean, organized, and harmonious home environment.
Requirements
- Prior experience working in a private home in a similar role
- Strong knowledge of fabric care and garment maintenance
- Meticulous organizational skills and strong attention to detail
- Professional presentation and appropriately dressed at all times
- Willingness and ability to travel as needed
- Calm, kind, and professional demeanor
- Confident self-starter with excellent common sense
- Team player with a flexible, “all hands-on deck” attitude
- Comfortable around dogs
- Fluent in English
Responsibilities
- Full-charge housekeeping including daily cleaning, deep cleaning, and organization
- Expert care of fine garments and household fabrics
- Maintaining overall household order and cleanliness to a high standard
- Grocery shopping and household provisioning
- Assisting in the kitchen as needed (light prep, organization, support)
- Supporting the household during hosting/entertaining (with flexibility to stay later as needed)
- Working collaboratively with other staff and contributing to a positive team environment
