About The Position

Pocket Nurse is seeking a Temporary Part-Time Housekeeper to support our team for up to 8 weeks by helping maintain a clean, safe and welcoming facility. This role will perform a variety of cleaning, sanitizing and disinfecting duties that adhere to health and safety standards. This position is ideal for someone who takes pride in their work, values attention to detail and quality, and can work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while following established schedules and procedures.

Requirements

General knowledge of tools, materials, safety procedures, and standard practices of housekeeping, cleaning, and sanitization.
Ability to retain information from training and properly apply the knowledge.
Ability to follow directions and schedules while remaining flexible to adjust to changing priorities.
Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality work.
Ability to work independently with time management skills.
Must be able to understand, remember, apply, or communicate routine information and problems and explore alternative solutions.
Must be able to organize and prioritize thoughts, ideas, and own work schedule.
Must be able to apply common sense, analyze and make decisions which have moderate impact on the immediate work unit and monitor impact outside immediate work unit.
Must be able to express written and spoken word for internal communications.
Must be able to understand, interpret, and follow written and oral technical instructions, schedules, and safety label directions.
Must be able to operate a variety of tools and equipment for the safe maintenance of the facility.

Nice To Haves

High school diploma or general equivalency diploma (G.E.D.) preferred
Prior related experience in commercial cleaning preferred

Responsibilities

Maintains reliable attendance and punctuality for a Monday-Friday schedule of 4-hour daytime shifts.
Follows daily cleaning schedules for offices, common areas, kitchens, restrooms, corridors and stairwells.
Sweeps and/or wet mops both carpeted and non-carpeted floors.
Empties trash cans, replaces liners, and transports waste to disposal areas.
Dusts and polishes furniture, fixtures, fire extinguishers, and AEDs in common areas.
Cleans and disinfects toilets in and out.
Cleans, sanitizes, and polishes fixtures such as sinks, counters, door handles, water fountains, microwaves, eating areas and other high-touch surfaces.
Disinfects showers in fitness center locker rooms.
Replenishes soap dispensers, paper products, and other facility supplies.
Runs and unloads dishwashers.
Keeps storage areas and carts clean and well-stocked and cleans assigned tools and equipment.
Assists with facility set up and clean up for company events.
