About The Position

This position provides laundry and general housekeeping services to clients that contract with SmithLife Homecare.

Requirements

• High School Diploma/GED required
• Must provide proof of a recent tuberculosis screening
• Authorized to work in the U.S.
• Willing to submit to a background check

Nice To Haves

• At least 6 months’ experience in a housekeeping position are preferred.

Responsibilities

• Deep cleaning the bathroom, making sure the shower, toilet and sink are in pristine condition.
• Make sure floors are clean and dry, and make sure client has toilet paper stocked.
• Deep cleaning the kitchen, making sure that dishes are cleaned and put away.
• Ensure counters are spotless of any old food or dishes.
• Clean the sink with no food sitting in it.
• Clean out refrigerators of old expired items.
• Vacuum and dust around the apartment, making sure to move items to clean around them. This includes dusting tables, knick knacks, light fixtures etc.
• Provide laundry services as needed for the client.
• Load laundry into washer and dryer then fold and help client put them away.
• Abide by the agency’s infection control policies, including proper hand washing techniques consistent with CDC guidelines.
• Abide by all policies and procedures outlined in the agency’s manual, employee handbooks, and training manual.
