About The Position
The Housekeeper provides a superior level of cleaning quality in assigned areas to maintain a clean working environment. The role may involve cleaning specialty healthcare areas and performing light floor care, while following life safety, infection control, and biohazard handling procedures.
Responsibilities
- Meet all requirements for EVS Tech Cert 1.
- Clean specialty areas, including NICU, L&D, CCU, ED, and OR.
- Perform light floor care, including buffing and carpet spotting.
- Understand procedures for life safety codes.
- Clean chemical and medicine spills, including USP 800 spills.
- Use AIDET in patient rooms.
- Apply infection control techniques and proper hand hygiene.
- Handle biohazards, including sharps and biohazardous body-fluid spills, safely.
