About The Position

The Housekeeper is responsible for maintaining assigned areas in a clean and sanitary manner, following Plymouth Harbor policies and procedures. This is a part-time position with shifts from Monday to Friday, 6:00 PM to 10:00 PM.

Requirements

Minimum one year employment as a housekeeper in a hotel, resort, or CCRC environment, or as a private housekeeper.
Good organizational skills.
Detail-oriented person able to perform duties with great accuracy on a daily basis.
Excellent personal skills, demonstrating the ability to conduct oneself in a non-controversial style that inspires respect and promotes trust in competence.
Good communication skills (speaking, writing, and listening).
Fluent in English.
Must possess fully functioning sense of sight/hearing or use prosthetics that will enable these senses to function adequately.
Able to sit, stand, walk and move throughout the workday (lifting, carrying, bending, squatting, reaching, kneeling, pushing, pulling, twisting) using good body mechanics.
Able to lift/push up to 50 pounds.
Able to cope with the physical and emotional demands of the position.

Responsibilities

Clean assigned areas as directed.
Maintain furniture in assigned areas in the pre-determined pattern.
Perform office cleaning, including vacuuming, sweeping, mopping, dusting, cleaning restrooms, emptying trash, cleaning windows, cleaning fixtures, and stocking toilet tissue, paper towels, and soap.
Clean mirrors, ledges, vents, light fixtures, fire extinguishers, cabinets, baseboards, bathroom fixtures, and corners.
Vacuum carpets and dust blinds.
Clean wellness equipment, laundry equipment, art studio, and chapel.
Use proper chemicals in various duties as instructed by supervisor.
Report any unsafe conditions or items in need of repair.
Keep all dispensers stocked with toilet tissue, paper towels, and soap as necessary.
Follow established cleaning procedures as directed by immediate supervisor.
Re-stock housekeeping cart at the end of the shift with proper linens, chemicals, or supplies.
Clean floors with proper equipment, including vacuum sweepers, dust mops, damp mops, or sponge mops as directed by immediate supervisor.
Empty and re-line all trash receptacles in assigned areas.
Handle soiled/clean linen as instructed by supervisor.
Work safely, complying at all times with Plymouth Harbor safety standards.
Call 555 in the event of an emergency.
Discharge other responsibilities and duties as directed by manager.
Maintain work area, equipment, and supplies in a clean, sanitary, and organized manner.
Ensure that work areas are neat and confidential materials are properly stored before leaving area on breaks or at the end of the workday.

Maintain high personal standards for performance and encourage others to do the same.
