About The Position

The Housekeeper Supervisor supervises, organizes, and directs the duties of the Housekeeping Department. The role also performs housekeeping tasks to help maintain the nursing center in a clean, safe, and comfortable manner.

Nice To Haves

• High school graduate or equivalent.
• At least two years of supervisory experience in a hospital, long-term care center, or other related healthcare facility.
• Training in environmental control practices.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and oversee activities and tasks assigned to housekeeping partners.
• Inspect the facility and make daily rounds to ensure housekeeping duties are performed and procedures meet the facility’s needs.
• Evaluate each employee’s productivity and work quality, and determine additional training needs.
• Report occupational exposure to bodily fluids, infectious materials, and hazardous chemicals according to facility policies and procedures for accidents and incidents.
• Ensure housekeeping partners wear personal protective clothing and use safety equipment and supplies.
• Review and assist with plans of correction for housekeeping deficiencies identified during surveys.
• Maintain appropriate stock levels of housekeeping supplies.
• Participate in housekeeping departmental budget planning and supplies planning.
• Be able to perform all job duties and responsibilities of housekeeping partners.
