About The Position

Legacy is seeking a full-time Housekeeper for multiple properties in the Greater Grand Rapids area. As a Housekeeper, you will be responsible for cleaning and disinfecting common areas, hallways, storage areas, and vacant units. The Housekeeper will also clean up after spills, accidents, and take out the garbage when necessary. This position is responsible for operating machines standard to housekeeping processes including extraction equipment, vacuums, along with various other duties as assigned. Teamwork with the ability to work within different departments and with other staff is necessary to be successful.

Requirements

High School Diploma or equivalent required
Ability to maintain clean, sanitary, and orderly conditions in assigned areas in accordance with established standards and procedures
Ability to properly use, maintain, and care for housekeeping equipment and supplies
Ability to identify and report equipment wear, defects, or malfunctions to management promptly
Ability to establish and maintain positive, professional relationships with staff and residents
Demonstrates a strong customer service orientation and a respectful, and helpful approach in all interactions with staff and residents
Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation required
Ability and willingness to travel between locations as needed

Nice To Haves

Previous experience or training in general housekeeping is preferred but not required.
