About The Position

This position’s primary responsibility is to inspect guest rooms after a housekeeper has cleaned checkout or stayover rooms to ensure they meet hotel standards. The shift is from 10:00 AM to 6:00 PM, and weekend availability is required for this position. A Housekeeper Lead will perform the same duties as a Housekeeper, but also serve as the primary point of contact for questions and/or be assigned special projects. In addition to serving as a lead, this role is primarily responsible for maintaining clean and attractive guest rooms, hallways, and public areas in the hotel, servicing guest rooms daily in accordance with hotel procedures, stocking cart with room supplies, and replacing bed linens and replenishing guest room supplies while following company standards and safety/security procedures.

Requirements

  • High School diploma or equivalent and/or experience in a hotel or a related field preferred.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with guests and team members verbally or in written form.
  • Must be able to convey information and ideas clearly.
  • Must be able to evaluate and select among alternative courses of action quickly and accurately.
  • Must work well in stressful, high pressure situations.

Nice To Haves

  • Supervisory and/or leadership experience is desirable.

Responsibilities

  • Inspect guest rooms after cleaning to ensure they meet hotel standards.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for questions and/or be assigned special projects.
  • Maintain clean and attractive guest rooms, hallways, and public areas.
  • Service guest rooms daily in accordance with hotel procedures.
  • Stock cart with room supplies.
  • Replace bed linens and replenish guest room supplies.
  • Follow company standards and safety/security procedures.
  • Approach all encounters with guests and employees in a friendly, service-oriented manner.
  • Maintain regular attendance in compliance with Aimbridge Hospitality standards.
  • Maintain high standards of personal appearance and grooming, including wearing the proper uniform and name tag.
  • Comply at all times with Aimbridge Hospitality standards and regulations.
  • Thoroughly clean and restock the required number of guest rooms per shift.
  • Complete all pre-cleaning duties, including stocking guest supplies, cleaning supplies, and linens for housekeeping cart set-up.
  • Remove all trash and dirty linen from guest rooms.
  • May assist with inspecting rooms and/or providing oversight of room attendant duties, as requested.
  • Perform other tasks/jobs as assigned by the supervisor or manager.
  • Access to back of house areas of the hotel and sensitive information.
  • Interact and occasionally have unsupervised contact with guests and/or colleagues.
  • Access and control to sensitive areas in the hotel premises, including Master Keys and/or guestrooms, Storage/Liquor Room, and secured file cabinets.
  • Maintain a high level of trust and responsibility.
  • Represent the company with a certain level of reputation and good character as well as exercise sound judgement.
