About The Position

The Good Samaritan Home of Quincy is looking for a Housekeeper / Laundry worker to join their growing team. The ideal candidate will possess prior housekeeping experience and exhibit excellent communication skills. This role is primarily responsible for maintaining the cleanliness of the facility for residents and performing certain laundry duties.

Requirements

• Previous housekeeping experience
• Excellent communication skills
• Ability to read, write, and follow oral and written instructions in English
• Must be able to speak and understand English in order to communicate with supervisors and residents
• Compliance with all applicable CMS regulations, state licensure requirements, and facility policies to ensure resident safety, dignity, and quality of care.

Responsibilities

• Will work mostly housekeeping through the week and laundry on the weekends you work
• Clean all bathrooms, including counters, mirrors, sinks, lavatories and fixtures in apartment and common areas
• Vacuum carpeted areas and mop tile floors
• Spot clean walls and windows
• Dust furniture and empty trash cans
• Clean baseboards, pictures, lights and HVAC Vents
• Honor any additional housekeeping request made by the residents during the allotted time
• Assist with picking up trash
• Assist with activity room set-ups, will require movement of furniture
• Report any pertinent information to management directly related to the well-being of the resident
• Perform any additional housekeeping tasks as necessary
