About The Position

The Housekeeper plays a critical role in maintaining a high standard of cleanliness and organization in all areas of the facility. This position requires you to follow cleaning schedules and protocols. Cleans and sanitizes public restrooms, resident rooms/bathrooms, common areas and offices per assigned daily schedule. This includes sweeping, mopping, dusting, vacuuming and trash removal. Adheres to infection control protocols and follows proper procedures for handling and disposing of contaminated materials. Responds to cleaning requests from residents and staff in a timely and professional manner. Replenishes supplies such as toilet paper, paper towels, soap, and other amenities in restrooms and resident rooms. Maintains an inventory of supplies and equipment, reporting low stock to supervisors. Reports any maintenance issues, safety hazards, or damaged items to the appropriate supervisor promptly. Completes laundry duties, including washing, drying, folding, and distributing linens and residents' personal items. Collaborates with other departments to ensure a clean and safe environment for residents, staff, and visitors. Participates in ongoing training and education to stay current with best practices in cleaning and sanitation. Performs other duties as needed to support the overall cleanliness and operation of the facility.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or Equivalent preferred
  • 6 months to 1 year related experience or training preferred
  • Comprehensive pre-employment background check is mandatory

Nice To Haves

  • Experience working with older adults or in the retirement housing industry is a plus
