About The Position

Responsible for performing work aimed at preventing the spread of any diseases by thoroughly cleaning and sanitizing areas, properly disposing of hazardous waste, and efficiently sterilizing equipment and apparatuses. This role involves performing cleaning duties in alignment with the organization and according to pre-established schedules and infection control guidelines. It also includes completing waste stream removal, cleaning and servicing assigned areas according to established procedures, and moving furniture, equipment, and supplies in and around Medical Center departments. The Housekeeper I will perform a variety of cleaning duties to maintain the hospital in a neat, orderly, and sanitary condition, and operate assigned equipment such as floor machines and buffers. Additionally, the role requires participation in a minimum of eight unit/department meetings annually and maintaining assigned patient and non-patient areas in a clean, safe, and sanitary condition at all times.

Requirements

High School Diploma or Equivalent preferred
Related experience 0-1 year preferred
Knowledge of cleaning chemicals and how to apply chemicals safely.
Working knowledge of various cleaning tools like vacuum cleaners and floor buffers.

Responsibilities
