About The Position

The EVS Tech/Housekeeper provides environmental services to residents in the community to help them function at the highest possible level. The role performs day-to-day cleaning and environmental service functions according to assignments, maintaining resident rooms, apartments, bathrooms, common areas, and recreational areas. The position also includes self-inspections and following appropriate safety practices while cleaning.

Responsibilities

• Perform day-to-day environmental service functions as assigned.
• Strip and remake beds in Independent Living areas.
• Clean walls, doors, door handles and knobs, ceilings, light fixtures, vents, light switches and receptacle covers, thermostats, windows, baseboards, and pictures by washing, wiping, dusting, spot cleaning, disinfecting, and deodorizing.
• Remove dirt, dust, grease, film, and other residue from surfaces using appropriate cleaning and disinfecting solutions.
• Vacuum carpets and complete carpet-cleaning request forms when applicable.
• Clean floors by sweeping, dusting, damp or wet mopping, and disinfecting; set up appropriate caution and safety signs before performing these duties.
• Clean windows and mirrors in resident rooms, apartments, common areas, recreational areas, bathrooms, and entrance and exit ways.
• Clean, wash, sanitize, and/or polish bathroom fixtures.
• Clean and polish furnishings and fixtures in resident rooms, apartments, common areas, and recreational areas daily or as instructed.
• Perform self-inspections.
• Perform specific tasks in accordance with daily work assignments.
