About The Position

This role is for a Housekeeper/Cleaner at The Marina nursery, located on the University of Lincoln campus. The nursery is part of the Storal group, which focuses on high-quality outcomes for children and is passionate about Early Years. The ideal candidate will have exceptionally high standards and take pride in creating clean, safe, and welcoming environments. They should have a proactive approach to cleaning, enjoy hands-on work, and be dedicated to providing excellent care and service. Enthusiasm and compassion are key to ensuring those supported feel cared for and proud of their environment.

Requirements

Experience in a similar role
Enthusiasm and high standards of cleanliness
An excellent understanding of basic hygiene and cleanliness
Understanding of Health and Safety regulations and COSHH
Understands the importance of safeguarding and site security
Enhanced DBS check and subscription to the DBS Update Service

Responsibilities

Maintain a high standard of cleanliness throughout the nursery setting.
Follow the cleaning schedule to ensure all areas are kept clean, tidy, safe, and well cared for.
Manage cleaning materials and supplies in line with health and safety guidelines.
Adhere to the latest child protection and health and safety legislation.
Work closely with the educator team to ensure any issues impacting daily operations are reported and dealt with quickly, effectively, and safely.
