About The Position
Piedmont Crossing, a not-for-profit continuing care community in Davidson County, offers a full spectrum of senior living options. Our LPNs are dedicated professionals focused on delivering safe, high-quality clinical care for older adults. This includes administering medications and treatments, performing assessments, monitoring health status, and supporting diagnostic processes. Requirements
- Graduate of accredited school of practical nursing
- Minimum of one (1) year nursing experience
- Must meet regulatory requirements for licensure as practical nurse in home state.
- CPR certified.
- Must have demonstrated leadership qualities, interpersonal relationship skills, and knowledge of federal and state regulations governing clinical care and nursing practice.
- Commitment to person centered and resident directed care is essential.
- Will comply with all federal and state regulatory requirements to maintain licensure as nurse.
Nice To Haves
- One (1) year skilled nursing facility experience preferred
- Specialized training or experience in geriatric nursing is desirable.
Responsibilities
- Performs nursing functions within the household that require at minimum a licensed practical nurse, including passing medications.
- Observes residents' condition and communicates them to the Nurse Leader, the registered nurse in house or the physician as needed.
- Works closely with the Nurse Leader to ensure regulatory compliance, nurture a person-centered and resident-directed culture, strengthen the ability of the household to grow as a separate effective home and promote individual and team learning in the household.
- Participates in teaching and role-modeling of professional nursing practices to household staff and resident advocates for quality clinical care.
- Provides each resident with routine daily nursing care and other desired services in accordance with their assessment, choices and plan of care.
