About The Position

This role focuses on managing the afternoon and evening routine for a child, including school pickup, homework support, transportation to activities, and dinner routine. The Household Manager will also be responsible for meal preparation, driving to sports practices, and coordinating the child's sports schedule. Additionally, the role involves family assistance and household logistics such as running errands, maintaining supplies, and light home organization. There may also be support needed for ongoing home renovation projects, including research and vendor coordination. Clear communication and organized systems are highly valued, with tools like shared calendars and written recaps being utilized.

Requirements

  • Independent House Manager / Mid-level experience
  • 3–5 years of experience
  • Legally authorized to work in the United States

  • Experience with Google Sheets, Notes, or Notion for system organization.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the afternoon and evening routine for the child, including school pickup, after-school snack and homework support, coordination with tutor as needed, transportation to sports practices and activities, dinner routine and evening wind-down.
  • Create and maintain structured routines and weekly schedules.
  • Support accountability systems such as chore charts or incentive tracking.
  • Reinforce homework completion and behavioral expectations.
  • Encourage healthy alternatives to short-form media through reading, educational games, and structured activities.
  • Implement consistent technology boundaries and device expectations.
  • Prepare simple, consistent meals and snacks, gradually introducing healthier options aligned with the child’s sports performance and activity level.
  • Drive to and from sports practices and activities (basketball approximately four times per week).
  • Maintain a clear sports calendar.
  • Ensure uniforms, gear, snacks, water, and timing are prepared in advance for sports.
  • Communicate scheduling needs or conflicts proactively.
  • Run errands such as groceries, dry cleaning, or returns during the pre-pickup window.
  • Maintain household supplies and inventory.
  • Support basic vehicle care coordination (fueling, car wash scheduling).
  • Perform light home resets such as tidying the child’s room, making beds, and maintaining common areas.
  • Ensure the home remains organized and functional for daily life.
  • Set up simple systems for tracking household supplies, pantry items, and household essentials.
  • Support home renovation projects by researching product options and pricing, coordinating vendor appointments or deliveries, organizing quotes and invoices, and providing clear summaries.
  • Utilize tools such as shared calendars, weekly written recaps, and simple tracking systems for household inventory, routines, and project tasks.
