About The Position

We are a joyful, dynamic family with two wonderful boys, seeking a proactive and compassionate Household Manager to become an integral part of our household. Both parents are balancing demanding careers and responsibilities with a full family life and all the extras that come with a child with a mild disability. As a result, our home requires daily support to keep everything running smoothly. Our children, 9 (developmental delay, 2nd grade) and 13 (typical, 7th grade), bring a lot of joy and personality into our lives. Our youngest can be found at a full schedule of therapeutic activities like horseback riding or playing board games and reading books after school. Our older boy loves fishing, video games, and socializing. We are looking for somebody friendly, kind, responsible, and emotive who can support our kids and share in their excitement. We’re looking for someone who can connect with the boys on a personal level, creating a positive and nurturing environment. We’re seeking a long-term partner to help us manage the mental load and logistics of the home, ensuring a calm, organized environment where everyone can thrive. Our family operates on a side-by-side, team-oriented approach, often dividing and conquering responsibilities to make sure that the work-from-home parent can focus on her responsibilities while still being present for the kids. Flexibility is key, and we need someone who can adapt to our busy schedules and pitch in wherever needed, whether it’s making dinner after school pick-up, taking our youngest to physical therapy or stepping in to help with household chores. Though we have professional cleaners who take care of the heavy cleaning once a week, we need someone to maintain the day-to-day organization of the household. The role involves overseeing laundry, managing the kitchen, preparing meals for the family, and supporting the children during after-school hours. Requirements

Maintain a smoke-free environment, including in your personal vehicle
Reliable transportation (gas mileage reimbursement provided)
Up-to-date on vaccinations (Flu, COVID-19, Tdap, etc).
Must love kids and be comfortable around children with mild cognitive and gross motor delays

Responsibilities

Maintain household organization systems (closets, pantry, toys, etc.).
Reset and tidy rooms daily; ensure the home is prepped for weekly cleaning services.
Conduct seasonal swaps (clothing, décor, bedding, etc.).
Support packing/unpacking for travel or seasonal transitions.
Load/unload dishwasher, wipe surfaces, vacuum high-traffic areas.
Coordinate donation drop-offs/pick-ups.
Monitor and track household supplies (pantry, fridge, toiletries, etc.).
Unpack and organize grocery and household deliveries.
Bring packages inside.
Prepare snacks and meals for the kids (including after-school snacks and simple weekday dinners).
Follow dietary needs and preferences.
Clean kitchen after meal prep and manage kitchen tidiness.
Wash, dry, fold, and organize family laundry (clothing, bedding, towels).
Rotate bedding, refresh towels, and restock linens.
Clean and declutter the family van monthly.
Assist with school/activity pick-ups and drop-offs.
Assist with daily tasks and activities.
Participate in some family summer outings: library trips, community pool visits, bike rides, parks, fishing, etc.
Deep clean fridge (quarterly).
Special projects as needed (e.g., assembling toys, managing school materials).
