About The Position

Seeking Male Household Assistant and Companion - Tuesday Mornings - 4 hours/week. We are seeking a compassionate and reliable Household Assistant and Companion to provide support and companionship to our clients in a warm and respectful environment. This role offers an opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of individuals by assisting with daily household tasks and offering friendly companionship.

Requirements

Homemaker Certificate
CPR Certification
Valid Driver’s License
Social Security Card or Passport
Current Auto Insurance
Physical examination results dated within the last year
Proof of a negative TB test completed within the last 2 years, or a chest X-ray completed within the last 5 years
Two positive professional references
CORI background check
Compassionate, patient, and respectful demeanor
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to perform light housekeeping and meal preparation
Reliable, punctual, and trustworthy
Ability to adapt to the needs of different individuals
Basic knowledge of health and safety protocols

Nice To Haves

Previous experience in homemaking, caregiving, or companionship roles preferred
Valid driver’s license and access to transportation is a plus

Responsibilities

Assist with light housekeeping duties, including cleaning, laundry, and organizing
Prepare and serve meals according to dietary preferences and needs
Provide companionship and emotional support to clients, engaging in conversations and activities
Run errands such as grocery shopping and medication pickups
Monitor and report any changes in the client’s health or well-being to family or healthcare providers
Maintain a safe and clean environment, adhering to health and safety standards
