The House Supervisor also serves as the on-site management and administrative representative when department managers or administration are not present, and is responsible for managing discipline, counseling, and patient complaints. Additionally, this role involves retrieving and mixing medications after hours, acting as an interim surgical assistant in emergencies, and maintaining self-development and confidentiality.
