HOUSE SUPERVISOR RN - FULL TIME BAYLOR/WEEKEND OPTION
About The Position
Ste. Genevieve County Memorial Hospital is seeking a full-time House Supervisor RN with a Baylor/Weekend Option. This role involves working part of the week in staffing as a Staff Nurse and part of the week as a House Supervisor. The hospital is a Critical Access Hospital, stand-alone, not-for-profit facility in Ste. Genevieve, MO, known for its personalized care. It is a 25-inpatient bed facility with a Medicare 4-star rating and recognized nationally for Patient Safety, Quality, and Efficiency. The role requires prioritizing and delivering care in a fast-paced environment, evaluating censes and activity in inpatient and outpatient areas, collaborating with Case Management and Physicians, and performing safety audits.
Requirements
- Current Missouri RN license.
- BLS and ACLS certification required.
- Previous EMR (Electronic Medical Record) experience required.
Nice To Haves
- BSN preferred.
- Previous Med Surg (1 year preferred) or related experience desired.
Responsibilities
- Work part of the week in staffing as a Staff Nurse and part of the week as a House Supervisor
- Prioritize and deliver care to a team of assigned patients in a fast-paced environment.
- Be proficient with clinical skills and assessments, critical thinking skills, and time management.
- Evaluate censes and activity in all inpatient and outpatient areas (Med Surg/ED/Outpatient).
- Evaluate and assist team leaders, nurse aides, and unit clerks with care of ANC as needed.
- Serve as Code Blue resource.
- Collaborate with Case Management and Physicians to facilitate efficient patient care and flow throughout the hospital departments.
- Evaluate swing bed referrals from other facilities.
- Assist with staff relief for breaks, meals, and continuing education.
- Obtain meds from Pharmacy.
- Perform safety audits.
- Encourage team work and foster positive work environment.
