About The Position

The House Supervisor (Registered Nurse) is a full-time night position responsible for monitoring clinical operations during their assigned shift. This role involves determining and evaluating staffing levels, communicating with clinical areas, assessing staff skills, and considering patient needs. The House Supervisor effectively organizes and prioritizes work, anticipates problems, and assists with clinical assignments as needed. They maintain ongoing communication with Department Leaders and direct calls to Nursing Leadership or the Administrator on Call when immediate direction is required. Clinical rounding is also a key responsibility throughout the shift.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in nursing with five (5) years of clinical education experience.
Current, unrestricted licensure as a Registered Nurse in the State of Colorado.
Current BLS/ACLS (required within 90 days of employment).
PALS, TNCC, ENPC and NRP within 1 year of hire.

Responsibilities

Monitors clinical operations during assigned shift.
Determines and evaluates staffing levels required in each clinical area on an on-going basis by communicating with each clinical area, referencing staffing guidelines, assessing the skill level of clinical staff members, and assessing the physical and psychological needs of the patient-guests.
Uses time to effectively organize and prioritize work by anticipating problems, adjusting to deviations in work process/volume, seeking out additional duties, and clinically assisting with assignments as work volume allows.
Communicates with Department Leaders on an on-going basis.
Directs calls to Nursing Leadership/or Administrator on Call if immediate communication/direction required.
Completes clinical rounding on an on-going basis throughout shift.
