Inova Fairfax Medical Campus is looking per diem house physicians to join our team. This role will be a per diem, hourly position. Requirements
- current resident in good standing in internal medicine program
- 3rd or 4th year medical residents
- must be able to provide a letter of good standing
Responsibilities
- The House physician will provide direct hands-on care to patients within the limits of credentials granted by the Medical Staff of Inova in recognition of advanced training and experience in this field
- Additionally, they will adhere to patient care and admission criteria policies and procedures of the Department of Medicine.
- Communicates effectively with patients to obtain clinical history/informed consent to assist physicians in optimizing the performance and interpretation of examinations.
- Maintains an orderly, safe and clean environment. Ensures rooms are stocked with appropriate supplies for procedures.
- Assists in the development, review and implementation of policies/procedures.
- Exhibits excellent, clear communication skills.
