About The Position

The Lakefront, Anchorage hotel (formerly the Millennium Hotel) is recruiting for full time, House Person to join our team. At the Lakefront Anchorage Hotel, we strive to deliver a memorable experience for our guests. Situated on the shores of scenic Lake Spenard, one mile from Anchorage International Airport and four miles from downtown Anchorage, the Lakefront Anchorage Hotel is the perfect starting point to explore the many wonders Alaska has to offer. The Lakefront Anchorage Hotel boasts 248 rooms and three outstanding food and beverage outlets. The role of the house person is responsible for the cleanliness of guest floor corridors, foyers, stairwells and public vending areas, elevators, landings and assist Room Attendants to exceed guest expectations/requests.

  • Hotel cleaning experience preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Store inventory and distribute bed linen and guest room terry products where needed including separating soiled linens from the linen carts.
  • May operate laundering machines to clean articles such as rags, terry products, shower curtains and liners, guest room window sheers, comforters, mattress pads, bed skirts, and pool towels.
  • Deliver refrigerators, microwaves, ironing boards, pack and plays, amenities, etc. to guest rooms upon request.
  • Vacuum, sweep, and/or mop hallways, stairwells, ice machine areas, foyers, service landings and linen closets including baseboards.
  • Stock supplies in the appropriate areas in order to keep stock levels at standards.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of linen closets, supply closets, and laundry rooms.
  • Remove all dust, debris and foreign particles from upholstered furniture, including crevices and under cushions (in assigned areas).
  • Thoroughly clean windows, frames and ledges as assigned.
  • Assist Room Attendants in hanging guest room window draperies and sheers.
  • Load and run washers and dryers to specific standards per article being processed.
  • Examine laundered items to ensure cleanliness and serviceability.
  • Count and assemble laundered items on the cart or linen truck, recording amounts of linens to fill requisitions and transports carts to floors, and ultimately place in linen closets.
  • Pick up linens in a timely manner.
