About The Position

Hotel Per LA is seeking a House Person for its independent, luxury lifestyle property located in Downtown Los Angeles. This role is with Sage Hospitality Group, a company looking for a passionate, enthusiastic, and purpose-driven individual to deliver artful hospitality at a flagship hotel and restaurant in Downtown Los Angeles. The property is housed in a gorgeously restored historic building, close to cultural institutions and the city's culinary scene. It features chic guestrooms, a new restaurant concept (Per L'Ora), a café (Cafe Ora), and a rooftop pool terrace and lounge (Bar Clara). The hotel's public areas are designed to be 'the locals' living room,' attracting both guests and local creatives.

Requirements

No formal education required.
No experience required.
Self-starting personality with an even disposition.
Ability to meet standards of appearance.
Ability to communicate with guests, housekeepers/main linen room attendant, and supervisor.
Ability to assess required reaction to meet standards.

Responsibilities

Walk all assigned floors at the beginning and end of the shift, removing newspapers and service trays, and emptying trash receptacles.
Remove trash and/or linens and note any areas that need immediate cleaning.
Clean all public areas in the prescribed manner while following safety and security procedures and regulations, including hallways, elevators, service areas, and stairwells.
Remove soiled linen, terry, and trash from service areas and take them to the appropriate locations.
Aid section housekeepers as needed (e.g., with bed boards, roll-ways).
Stock linen and supply closets to ensure par inventories.
Report any missing/found articles, damage, or merchandise problems to the Senior Housekeeper or supervisor.
Respond to guest requests and questions, and report guest issues and complaints in a hospitable manner to ensure guest satisfaction.
