About The Position

Come join us as a House Person in our housekeeping department at the award-winning Hilton Garden Inn Oceanfront in sunny Daytona Beach, Florida! This role is responsible for cleaning and maintaining all corridors and public areas in accordance with all housekeeping procedures and standards and safety and security rules and regulations to ensure guest satisfaction.

Requirements

  • Ability to walk assigned floors at the beginning and end of shifts.
  • Ability to remove newspapers, service trays, empty ash urns, and remove trash/linens.
  • Ability to clean public areas including hallways, elevators, service areas, and stairwells.
  • Ability to remove soiled linen, terry, and trash to appropriate locations.
  • Ability to assist housekeepers with items like bed boards and roll-a-ways.
  • Ability to report missing/found articles, damage, or merchandise problems.
  • Ability to receive assigned sections, keys, and supplies.
  • Ability to respond to guest requests and questions.
  • Ability to report guest issues and complaints.

Responsibilities

  • Walk all assigned floors at beginning and end of shift; remove newspapers and service tray, empty ash urn receptacles, remove trash and/or linens and note any areas that need immediate cleaning.
  • Clean and public areas in the prescribed manner while following safety and security procedures and regulations to include but not limited to: hallways, elevators, service areas, stairwells, etc.
  • Remove soiled linen, terry and trash from the service areas and take to the appropriate locations in the prescribed manner.
  • Aid section housekeepers as needed (i.e. bed boards, roll-a-ways, etc.)
  • Report any missing/found articles, damage or merchandise problems to the Senior Housekeeper.
  • Receive assigned section, keys, supplies and any priority requests from the Senior Housekeeper.
  • Respond to guest requests and questions and report guest issues and complaints in a hospitable manner to ensure guest satisfaction.
