A family of four (2 parents, 2 children ages 8 and 11) in Los Altos, CA are looking for an experienced household manager to take ownership of the operations and coordination of their home. They already have wonderful people—a nanny, cleaners, gardeners, and tutors—and need someone to oversee and connect it all so the day-to-day no longer runs through them. This role can be part-time or full-time. They can pivot the role toward house manager OR house manager/nanny. The role starts ASAP. The family is open to 2 different structures, depending on the candidate to hire's preference. Option 1: They keep their nanny and bring this new candidate to hire on as a house manager focused on vendors, scheduling, household systems, and directing existing staff, with little day-to-day childcare. Part-time or full-time, they are still deciding if they prefer part-time or full-time for this role. Option 2: One combined nanny/house manager. This one is heavier on the children and would include helping with pickups when they're headed different directions, being with one child while the Mother is with the other, sometimes being with both children plus light cleaning and tidying, and the house-manager side on top. It's a full time role and the candidate would have use of one of their cars for this version. Because the children are 8 and 11 and the Mother is done with work by school pickup time, she is quite involved with them herself so it's not a full-day childcare load either way. This would be a full-time role.
