About The Position

We are a warm, busy family living in Niwot, CO. We have three young children aged 4.5, 2, and 3 months. Our oldest will start kindergarten in the fall while our middle will begin attending preschool. Both parents have demanding yet fulfilling careers. We’re hoping to find someone who can help take the load off, allowing us to focus more on enjoying quality family time together. Our goal is to have someone who can assist with meal prep, light childcare, household tasks, and organization so we can spend more time playing with the kids and less time worrying about the day-to-day logistics. We value a proactive, calm, and supportive presence in our home—someone who can help keep things running smoothly while we enjoy the precious moments with our children. Our household includes a 13-year-old Shiba Inu dog, who is very low-maintenance. We have a wonderful nanny, currently recovering from an injury and we’re hoping to find someone who can step in and help with both the children and the household responsibilities while she recovers and focus on the house management with back-up support when she returns. We’re looking for a calm, patient, and highly organized person who is proactive and can handle a busy, fast-paced environment. You are independent, have a direct communication style, and are comfortable managing multiple tasks. You will be able to help with household tasks, meal preparation, and childcare support as needed. Ideally, you have experience managing meal prep and household organization and enjoy spending time with young children. You’re someone who can anticipate our needs and work autonomously to keep things running smoothly. We value long-term commitment and someone who can grow with our family over time. If you’re tech-savvy and comfortable with social media, that’s a bonus, as one parent is exploring increasing their social media presence for work. Ideal Candidate: Independent and self-managed, with a proactive approach to handling tasks. Calm energy with patience for young children, and enjoys engaging with kids. Organized, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple tasks at once. Strong communicator, able to directly address issues and take initiative. Long-term commitment is important, as this role is designed to grow with the family.

Requirements

  • Must be able to maintain a smoke-free environment
  • Reliable transportation (Family vehicle will be provided for job-related tasks)
  • Major vaccinations including flu required

Responsibilities

  • Meal Planning & Preparation
  • Plan and prepare healthy meals/snacks for adults and/or kids (Dinner 5x week. Option to batch cook)
  • Shop for groceries and meal-related items
  • Clean kitchen post-prep and manage kitchen tidiness
  • Household Management & Organization
  • Maintain household organization systems (closets, pantry, storage)
  • Daily reset and room tidying and preparation for weekly cleaning services
  • Oversee household schedules and calendars
  • Coordinate seasonal clothing swaps for kids
  • Prepare and coordinate donation drop offs and pick ups
  • Load/unload dishwasher, wipe surfaces, vacuum high traffic areas
  • Inventory Management & Errands
  • Track and restock pantry, fridge, toiletries, household supplies
  • Create and manage running household supply lists
  • Coordinate and manage household orders (Amazon, Costco, Target, etc.)
  • Run errands: grocery shopping, returns, dry cleaning, gift shopping
  • Family Support & Child Assistance
  • Assist with school pick-ups and drop-offs as needed
  • Provide light supervision and back-up childcare
  • Weekly date night coverage (Fridays preferred)
  • Laundry & Linen Care
  • Wash, dry, fold, and organize family laundry (e.g., clothing, bedding, towels)
  • Steam, and prepare outfits as needed
  • Manage linens: rotate bedding, refresh towels, restock essentials
  • Keep laundry areas tidy and well-stocked with supplies
  • Deep Cleaning & Special Projects
  • Maintain and refresh specific zones (entryways, garage, mudroom)
  • Clean humidifiers, washing machines, and air purifiers monthly
  • Organize special projects: toy storage, seasonal decorations, gear rotation
  • Vehicle Management
  • Schedule and oversee maintenance, oil changes, and inspections
  • Ensure vehicles are fueled, cleaned, and organized
  • Vendor & Property Oversight
  • Schedule and supervise service providers (cleaners, contractors, landscapers)
  • Research and coordinate repairs, maintenance, and quotes
  • Manage routine upkeep across property
  • Administrative & Personal Assistant Support
  • Help with travel planning, scheduling, and logistics
  • Manage family calendars and reminders
  • Assistance with business social media account
