About The Position

A warm, high-performing Manhattan family is seeking an exceptionally proactive, systems-oriented House Manager to support the day-to-day operations of their growing household as they transition from apartment living into a large family home. The household includes two principals, three young children (all under 8), a live-in nanny, and a friendly Goldendoodle. The family is moving from a three-bedroom apartment into an approximately 7,500 square foot, five-bedroom home, a significant jump in operational complexity. They are looking for someone who can create calm, structure, and consistency from the ground up during this transition. This is not a traditional housekeeping role. The family wants a true operational partner: someone who naturally takes ownership, notices problems before they become stressors, and builds systems that reduce the mental load of running a busy home. The right person enjoys creating order out of chaos and supports high-functioning families with warmth, discretion, and initiative.
