About The Position

Merry Maids is a professional housecleaning company focused on providing cleaning solutions and customer service to clients. House Cleaners professionally clean customer homes using Merry Maids’ cleaning procedures and products, while building strong relationships with clients and contributing to a close-knit team. The role includes carrying supplies and equipment between the office, vehicle, and customers’ homes; maintaining supplies and equipment; and providing dependable, courteous service. The work involves regular physical activity, including cleaning floors on hands and knees, moving reasonably moveable furniture, and handling cleaning products and equipment. The position offers paid training, competitive pay, flexible schedules, work/life balance, and opportunities for advancement into roles such as team captain, trainer, quality assurance supervisor, or manager. The franchise is independently owned and operated, and hiring decisions are made by the franchisee.

Requirements

Ability to distinguish between cleaning products and understand their uses.
Ability to read cleaning instructions.
Strong communication and customer service skills.
Ability to lift and carry 20 pounds of equipment.
Ability to tolerate regular physical contact with dog and cat hair, mold, dust, mildew, and cleaning solutions.
Ability to drive to and from various job sites.

Responsibilities

Use Merry Maids cleaning products and procedures to clean customer homes.
Use provided equipment, including vacuums and microfiber cleaning cloths.
Clean home surfaces, including fans, blinds, light fixtures, baseboards, fixtures, counters, showers, toilets, cabinets, and floors.
Clean kitchen and bathroom floors on hands and knees.
Vacuum stairs, carpet, hard-surface floors, and furniture.
Move reasonably moveable furniture to clean beneath and behind it.
Carry cleaning products and equipment to and from the office, vehicle, and customers’ homes.
Help keep supplies stocked and maintain equipment.
Contribute to a positive team climate through a pleasant attitude, wearing a uniform, dependability, and punctuality.
Show respect and understanding for co-workers and customers.
Provide exceptional customer service through consistent home cleaning.
