Requirements

  • Demonstrate core values: Serve Others, Do Right, Drive Value, Do Good, Be Safe, Have Fun.
  • Must be physically able to fulfill duties and work four ten-hour days.
  • Ability to lift 50 pounds.
  • Ability to work unsupervised.
  • BC driver's license - Required.
  • Proof of satisfactory criminal record check.

Responsibilities

  • Provide friendly, helpful service to residents of House.
  • Follow daily priorities and ensure residence is kept to a "Hotel" comparable level of cleanliness in all areas, meeting a Seal of Approval.
  • Deep clean and prepare units for new residents.
  • Deep clean common areas including hallways, stairwells, lounges, and laundries.
  • Operate industrial washer and dryer.
  • Sanitize, sort, and fold House linens in preparation for guests.
  • Make beds and clean bedrooms for new residents.
  • Think critically about cleaning systems and work with the Lead Hand cleaner to implement changes.
  • Continually evaluate cleaning tools and products and report to Lead Cleaner any that inhibit efficient, high-quality, and safe cleaning.
  • Communicate ideas that could contribute to the vision of House directly to the manager and/or supervisor and aid in their implementation.
  • Report any damage or lights out in common areas, hallways, lobbies, and lounges. Report any maintenance required.
  • Advise Lead Hand Cleaner if supplies are running low and what inventory needs to be ordered.
  • Assist other departments as needed.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
