About The Position

Westerman, an employee-owned company, is a multiple site manufacturer of production and storage equipment within the oil, gas, and nuclear industries. Our equipment helps optimize well pad design, improve separation efficiency and lower overall equipment spend through high-performance surface separation and processing technology. Our equipment is setting new standards for performance and economics nationwide. This position will be located in Casper, WY at our JW Williams facility (a company of Westerman, Inc). This position requires employees to be on-site and work in the shop. Successful candidates will be required to live in Casper or within a reasonable commuting distance. Westerman, Inc. does not offer a relocation package, and all relocation expenses will be the candidate’s responsibility. SALARY MAY BE NEGOTIABLE BASED ON EXPERIENCE SUMMARY: The Structural House Builder is responsible for installing building parts on Natural Gas and Oil production equipment properly, timely, safely, and efficiently using bills of material and blueprints. This role inspects the material and parts for any deficiencies and makes sure that all are corrected before installing on and completing assembly. A successful candidate is a detail oriented, multi-tasker with the ability to handle assignments efficiently and accurately.

Requirements

  • Must be comfortable working from heights
  • Must be experienced in the use of various hand/air/power tools such as band saw and circular saw
  • Must be able to read and understand blueprints
  • Basic math skills
  • Effective oral and written communication skills
  • Ability to frequently bend and stoop, climb ladders, and perform physical labor (with or without a reasonable accommodation)
  • Must be able to stand for extended period of time and exert moderate to heavy physical effort with a minimum lifting requirement of up to 50 pounds (with our without a reasonable accommodation)

Nice To Haves

  • experience working in scissor lift man-basket is a plus
  • Welding experience is a plus but is not required
  • One to three years of related work experience and/or training – will train the right individual
  • Mechanical aptitude a plus

Responsibilities

  • Safe and proper use of various hand/air/power tools
  • Properly identify and inspect all parts for defects to ensure quality products
  • Assemble Better Panel metal building parts
  • Properly identify and document parts/components
  • Performs inspection to assure equipment meets quality standards, systems work correctly, the equipment does not leak, and assures all parts are installed correctly
  • Assures deficiencies are corrected as needed
  • Performs other related duties as required and assigned.
