About The Position

The Housekeeping Department at the Texas A&M Hotel and Conference Center, managed by Pyramid Global Hospitality, is responsible for maintaining high standards of cleanliness in guest rooms and public areas to ensure guest satisfaction. This role is for a part-time House Attendant, working shifts between 8:00 AM and 5:00 PM.

Requirements

• Housekeeping experience desirable, not required
• Warm, welcoming, and pleasant personality.
• Must be willing to work in elevated production environments while maintaining our PATH of P.R.I.D.E.
• Able to work independently, with minimal interaction with fellow team members
• Ability to work on feet for an extended period of time.
• Ability to communicate effectively.
• Minimal reading skills required (numbers, general texted instructions pertaining to work tasks)

Responsibilities

• Maintain the cleanliness of assigned guest floors by high dusting of walls and vacuuming.
• Clean and polish guest and service elevator door tracks.
• Dust hallway lights and wash hallway windows.
• Maintain ice and water station areas on each floor.
• Assist Room Attendants with heavy lifting, bed stripping, and trash removal.
• Ensure linen closets are stocked with guest room supplies and collateral.
• Remove trash and soiled linens from Room Attendants' carts.
• Maintain cleanliness of elevator landings.
• Ensure cleanliness of tile and carpet areas in guest hallways.
• Clean emergency stairways, including sweeping, mopping, and cleaning light fixtures and windows.
• Care for equipment and machines.
• Maintain constant awareness of safety hazards and report them to a supervisor.
• Follow all training procedures outlined in the "Bloodborne Pathogens Program."
• Practice safety standards at all times.
• Remain alert, courteous, and helpful to guests and co-workers.
