About The Position

Responsible for the cleaning of all public and common areas and assistance with housekeeping and maintenance. The House Attendant will maintain a friendly, cheerful and courteous demeanor at all times, while providing personalized service to hotel guests. They will communicate effectively with guests and fellow team members. This role involves cleaning the entire grounds of trash and cigarette butts, running laundry, emptying housekeepers’ trash, and cleaning various areas such as the lobby, exterior windows, hallways, walkways, railings, stairwells, pool furniture, and ice and vending machines. The position also requires maintaining the cleanliness of dumpster areas, sand urns, exterior light fixtures, public benches, and the exterior of guest room doors. Additional duties include shampooing carpets, turning mattresses, and cleaning guestroom sliding glass doors as assigned. The House Attendant will report any missing/found articles, or damage to the Housekeeping Supervisor and assist the maintenance department with basic repairs. They will provide assistance to other team members and departments to contribute to the best overall performance of the department and hotel, deliver DKN’s "Home Away From Home" experience, and perform other duties as assigned, requested or deemed necessary by management.

Requirements

  • Minimum of one (1) year experience in a similar or related position.
  • Basic cleaning skills.
  • Ability to prioritize, organize and make good judgments.
  • Ability to communicate in English with guests, management and fellow team members to their understanding desirable.
  • Dependable.
  • Must be aware of the importance of safety and security.
  • Endeavor to be conscious of safety and security at all times.
